Description:
Nestled inside O Cinema, an art house cinema featuring independent, first run and niche films Monitoring Art will make its home. Monitoring Art is a video art gallery showcasing the work of established video and new media artist along side emerging and local talent.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Thursday, August 12, 2010
We are requesting artists to submit short film and video art works for juried exhibition in O Cinema’s Monitoring Art Gallery. Presentation will be on multiple flat screen monitors. Additionally, selected work will be projected on large screen in our 120 seat cinema during Wynwood Arts District walk.
Selection Criteria:
• Possess high artistic merit;
• Original, controversial, progressive, cutting-edge, avant-garde, humorous, ‘out there’, etc;
• May or may not have sound track;
• Are of duration between 60 seconds to 20 minutes;

Eligibility: This opportunity is open to all living, professional artists
Selection Process: A jury selection panel will review all eligible submissions and recommend works for Monitoring Arts. Artists whose works are selected will be contacted by September 1, 2010.
Submission Instructions: All applications must include the following:
On a single DVD playable on a set top NTSC DVD player:
Up to three available works that meet the stated selection criteria.

On a single CD in PDF format:
Narrative description (250 words or less) of each work submitted;
One to two high resolution still images from work to be used for print & media, resume,

Submission Deadline: 5 pm on Thursday, August 12, 2010 - All submissions must be received at the address listed above (not postmarked) by the deadline.
Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. Submission discs will not be returned.
