AWARE: GLIMPSES OF CONSCIOUSNESS follows six brilliant researchers around the world who set out to discover the true meaning of consciousness, the world’s greatest unsolved mystery. Through radically different approaches, the cast of researchers takes the audience into a fascinating world of high-tech brain research, eastern meditation, psychedelics, consciousness of plants experiments, and eventually beyond the explicable.

THE MENU:

  • Tuna Salad Wrap – Light albacore tuna salad with delicate homemade mayo, fresh cilantro and shaved carrots, a dash of lemon juice and olive oil, with romaine lettuce served in a wheat wrap.
  • Terra Blues Chips – a naturally blue potato with a slightly nutty flavor
  • Green Gables Cafe’s famous Chocolate Chip Cookie – the secret deliciousness is in the combination of stoneground whole wheat flour and the deep dark organic fair-trade chocolate chunks

THE FILM:

What is consciousness? Is it in all living beings? Why are we predisposed for mystical experience? And what happens when we die? With haunting cinematography, AWARE: GLIMPSES OF CONSCIOUSNESS follows six of the world’s most brilliant researchers approaching the most mysterious of enigmas, consciousness, from radically different perspectives, from within and without: through high-tech brain research and Eastern meditation, by scientifically exploring inner space through psychedelic substances and delving deep into the consciousness of plants. Scientists are arriving at new insights – some which have been integral to Indigenous knowledge for millenia.
