Set in an otherworldly human existence, scientist Sterling Pierce (Scott Bakula) dedicated his life to the quest for immortality, slowly creating the building blocks of a groundbreaking serum named “Divinity.” Jaxxon Pierce (Stephen Dorff), his son, now controls and manufactures his father’s once-benevolent dream.

DIVINITY unfolds in a futuristic world where the quest for immortality has reached its zenith. The story revolves around two brilliant scientists, siblings James and Ada Bell, who have developed a groundbreaking serum, ‘Divinity,’ that promises eternal life. Set against the backdrop of a world grappling with overpopulation and ethical dilemmas surrounding life extension, the Bell siblings find themselves at the forefront of a scientific revolution. As the serum gains worldwide attention, it sparks a frenzy among the elite, who see it as a key to everlasting power and dominance.

The narrative intensifies when a ruthless billionaire, Elijah Cane, coerces the Bells into a partnership, aiming to monopolize ‘Divinity’ for the global elite. As the serum begins to reshape society, a stark division emerges between the immortal ‘Divinites’ and the rest of humanity, leading to social and political turmoil. Meanwhile, James starts to question the moral implications of their creation, while Ada becomes increasingly obsessed with the power it wields. Their relationship strains under the pressure of their differing views, revealing deep-seated ethical and personal conflicts.

The film masterfully combines elements of science fiction, drama, and action, offering a profound commentary on the human obsession with mortality, the ethical boundaries of science, and the societal impacts of technological advancements. DIVINITY is a visually stunning and thought-provoking tale that challenges viewers to ponder the true cost of eternal life.

” ‘You Have to See It to Believe It’ is a well-worn movie cliché, but trust that it applies to this utterly bananas corporeal bath of cinema in all its glorious sound and vision. As the film ratchets up to its batshit, gnarly, and beautifully mutilated conclusion, man, prepare yourself for how transgressive and hypnagogic it gets.”

“A movie destined for a cult following and subsequent midnight showings…”
– LOS ANGELES TIMES

“A boldly demented science fiction saga (executive-produced by Steven Soderbergh) that melds the unsettling body horror of David Cronenberg and the seductive surrealism of David Lynch with a menacing video game-inflected spirit of its own.”
– THE DAILY BEAST

“Alcazar pulls on whatever narrative thread suits his fancy in a given minute, but once you realize that piecing his shots together into something truly coherent is a fool’s errand, it’s a delight to accompany him for the ride.”
– INDIEWIRE

“Here is a cornucopia of aesthetics, not for all but definitely for some, that will remind you that not every type of film has been made yet.”
