Imprint Your Love (Juraj Kojs, multimedia & Margaret Lancaster, flute) attempts to artistically highlight the core of humanity beating serenely under our violence, fear and surveillance-driven world.

5-hour performances for 3 days
5-10pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015.

For five hours and three days, the New York Times-celebrated flutist Margaret Lancaster is imprisoned in a metal grid cage—a physical metaphor for her heart. She intimately performs music based on five original poems that contemplate various notions of love. The viewers can use watercolors to paint and handprint images on a sonified wall. The wall reacts with the sounds of Lancaster’s heartbeat and flute performance as well as computer-generated sonorities. Connected to the wall by an artery, Lancaster completes the feedback loop as she plays the flute, speaks, vocalizes and moves around in response to the viewers’ tactile interactions with the wall. Live sonic electronics evolving over large periods of time mediate the unexpected energy and communication transfers.
