It’s 1966 in Albacete, Spain and Antonio is using Beatles’ songs to teach English. When he learns that John Lennon is filming in Almería he decides to go on a road trip to Almería in the hope of meeting his idol, John Lennon.

On the journey he picks up two young runaways: Bethlehem, a pregnant girl fleeing a convent, and Juanjo, a boy escaping his dictatorial father. This unlikely trio form a bond and decide to follow their dreams in hopes of finding their freedom.

Taking its title from a line in Lennon’s song “Strawberry Fields Forever” (which he wrote while filming “How I Won the War” in Almeria) Living evokes the spirit and mood of the ’60s in its lively review of a time in Spanish history when dreams seemed impossible.
