Overview

Gregg Araki hasn't made a film in over a decade, not since 2014's White Bird in a Blizzard, and he's come back swinging. When wide-eyed Elliot (Cooper Hoffman) lands a job assisting renowned artist and provocateur Erika Tracy (Olivia Wilde), he's thrilled just to be in the room. Then Erika makes him an offer he can't refuse: become her muse, her submissive, her latest experiment. What follows is part noir mystery (the film opens with Elliot standing over Erika's body, floating face down in her pool), part screwball dom/sub comedy, and part genuine provocation aimed squarely at a generation Araki thinks has gotten far too scared of its own desire.
With Charli XCX, Mason Gooding, Daveed Diggs, Johnny Knoxville, and Margaret Cho rounding out a wildly game cast, I WANT YOUR SEX is unmistakably Araki: neon lit, gleefully campy, and unafraid to be a little ridiculous in service of something it actually means. It's a New Queer Cinema icon's argument for consensual chaos, and a reminder that he's still one of the few filmmakers willing to make that argument at all.
Following its premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and a stop at the Miami Film Festival, including a sold-out screening at O Cinema, I WANT YOUR SEX arrives for its theatrical run.
