Overview
Three men. Three eras. One love story that history tried to bury.

In 1932, Carlos is blackballed from his town's exclusive casino over whispered rumors. In 1937, in the chaos of the Spanish Civil War, a young trumpeter named Sebastián is ordered to guard Rafael, a wounded Republican prisoner, and finds himself drawn to the enemy. In 2017, Madrid historian Alberto inherits a mysterious envelope from a grandfather he never knew, and starts pulling at a thread that leads all the way back to Federico García Lorca.
Inspired by Lorca's unfinished work and Alberto Conejero's play La piedra oscura, Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi (Los Javis) deliver a sweeping, swooning queer epic that won Best Director at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and is Spain's expected submission for Best International Feature at the 2027 Academy Awards. Starring Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos González, Milo Quifes and Lola Dueñas, with showstopping turns from Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close.
