Receiving its World Premiere at the 2026 Miami Jewish Film Festival, IN PROTEST captures the evolving struggle for women’s rights amid unprecedented political turmoil—and the moment when a local fight ignites a global reckoning. The film chronicles Moran Zer Katzenstein, a fearless women’s rights activist and movement leader who challenges the world’s silence in the face of violence against her people and against women everywhere. As her protest gains international attention, the film explores the personal cost of activism and the power of collective resistance.

The World Premiere screening will be followed by a special panel discussion featuring director Carli Fogel and film subject Moran Zer Katzenstein, moderated by Rabbi Efrat Zarren Zohar, Executive Director of the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education.
